Description:
The Gotoh SG301-20 MG-T adds Gotoh's Magnum Lock-Trad system to the compact SG301 platform — a rear-mounted thumbwheel that clamps the string internally for fast changes and rock-steady tuning. Built around an 18:1 gear ratio and a permanently sealed, self-lubricating die-cast housing with Lubri-Coat gears, it delivers smooth, backlash-free feel with locking stability that rivals Schaller, Grover and Hipshot at a lower price.
Supplied as a 3-a-side set with 20 large Grover-style metal buttons and a gold finish, this set uses Gotoh's EX-Long 21.5mm string posts — the tallest option, giving a steeper break angle over the nut for thicker headstocks or added downward pressure without string trees. Fits 3x3 headstocks with a 0° mounting hole (screw directly below the post), a common drop-in match for Grover-equipped guitars. 10mm bore. Bushings and mounting screws included. Not suitable for 6-in-line headstocks. Measure your bore and headstock thickness before ordering.
