Classical

Classical guitar strings use nylon or fluorocarbon trebles paired with metal-wound bass strings, producing the warm, expressive tone that defines classical and flamenco music. Unlike steel strings, classical strings are designed specifically for guitars with fan bracing and tie-block bridges — never use steel strings on a classical guitar.

String tension is a key consideration. Normal tension strings are more comfortable to play and work well for most players, while high tension strings offer greater volume and projection for performance settings. Many serious players mix treble and bass sets from different brands or tension levels to find their ideal combination.
