Product Overview
Aquila Sugar ukulele strings are made from a bio-plastic derived from sugar cane, developed in Italy. The sound is bright, clean and quick to respond.
Unlike fluorocarbon, Sugar strings have strong vibrato and a wide change in tone as you move your picking hand from the bridge to the sound hole, combining the sweetness of nylon with the brightness of fluorocarbon. Aquila's tests measure higher sustain and sound power than fluorocarbon strings, and the very smooth surface still gives a good grip under the fingers.
Set 150U is for soprano ukulele in standard GCEA tuning with a high G. Made in Italy by Aquila Corde Armoniche.
