The Gotoh EP-B3 is a standard (non-locking) strap button, made in Japan, for guitars and basses. Its defining feature is the larger head: at roughly 16.8–17mm diameter, the EP-B3's wider brim holds a strap more securely than a typical 14mm Fender-style button, making it less likely for a thick or worn leather strap to slip off—often eliminating the need for mechanical strap locks.
