Description
The Gotoh GBU510M-12 is a compact open-gear bass machine head from Gotoh's GBU510 series, made in Japan. It pairs a molded Y-style tuning key with a Rock-Solid post and Lubri-Plate gears for smooth, precise, no-backlash operation. The 12mm string post is designed for a 17.5mm (~11/16") headstock hole and secures with a 17mm bushing; mounting screws, washer, and bushing are included.
This set is configured 4-in-line (four left, right-handed) for standard 4-string bass headstocks, finished in Cosmo Black (CK), Gotoh's dark smoked-chrome finish. At 75.2g (2.65oz) each, the GBU510M-12 offers a sleek modern look with reliable Gotoh performance—an easy upgrade for contemporary bass builds and retrofits.
Note: Confirm your headstock hole is 17.5mm before ordering—the 9mm-post GBU510M-9 variant fits 14.5mm holes instead.
