The Gotoh GE101A is a lightweight aluminum stop-bar tailpiece, made in Japan, that recreates the tone of the aluminum tailpieces Gibson used on '50s guitars. At roughly a quarter the weight of a standard zinc stop bar, it transfers string vibration differently—giving a woodier, airier vintage voice with rounder mids and more upper-harmonic content, a favorite upgrade for players chasing that classic resonance and sustain.
It fits standard Tune-O-Matic-equipped guitars with 82mm stud spacing and 51.5mm string spacing. The included M8x1.25 metric height-adjustable posts and bushings make it a direct drop-in for import guitars like Epiphone, LTD, and Schecter; on USA/Gibson models, fit the tailpiece body onto your existing imperial posts. Finished in cosmo black with complete mounting hardware included.
