Description
The Gotoh SD510 is a vintage-style guitar machine head from Gotoh's flagship 510 series, made in Japan. It updates the classic Kluson/Gibson look with modern engineering: a smooth 15:1 gear ratio, Rock-Solid string post that holds tuning through bends and tremolo use, and Lubri-Plate (Teflon-coated) gears for reduced backlash and long-term durability.
Each set ships with Gotoh's C-A-R-D self-centering base, which aligns the post in the headstock hole for correct gear mesh. This standard (non-locking) set is configured 3Lx3R with tapered SL buttons, finished in gold (GG), and includes bushings—a premium upgrade for vintage-style 3-per-side headstocks.
