Description
The Gotoh SG381-MG-T is a sealed-gear locking guitar machine head from Gotoh, made in Japan. It combines a smooth 16:1 gear ratio with the MG-T (Magnum Lock-Trad) system—a knurled thumbwheel on the rear of each tuner that clamps the string in place, delivering faster restrings, fewer string breaks, and excellent tuning stability. Rock-Solid posts prevent post rocking under bends, while Lubri-Plate lubrication keeps the action smooth over years of use.
This set is configured 6-in-line (L6, right-handed) with AB07 ovaloid buttons finished to match the chrome plating. The SG381 uses a 45° mounting-tab position (versus the SG301's straight tab) and ships complete with bushings and mounting screws—a premium, drop-in locking upgrade for many 6-in-line, Strat-style headstocks.
Note: L6 = right-handed; a left-handed guitar needs the R6 designation.
