Description
The Gotoh SGL510Z is the "Delta" midsize-body member of Gotoh's flagship SG510 sealed-gear series, made in Japan. It offers the series' highest standard gear ratio at 21:1, giving unusually fine, accurate control over pitch, backed by precision-fitted gears in a die-cast, permanently sealed and lubricated housing for years of smooth performance.
This set is configured 3Lx3R with L5 "butter bean" buttons and 22.2mm posts, using Gotoh's 45° mounting-tab footprint. It's finished in X-Nickel, part of Gotoh's premium X-Finish line: Lubri-Plate applied as the external plating for a water-repellent, ultra-slick surface that resists the sweat, oil, dust, and oxidation that corrode conventional plating—protecting the moving parts and improving durability. The finish's color may shift subtly with use, but performance is unaffected. Note: due to its midsize body, this model is not suitable for 6-in-line headstocks—it's built for 3-per-side.
