Description
The Gotoh SGV510Z is the "6-o'clock" member of Gotoh's flagship SG510 sealed-gear series, made in Japan. Its straight-down post orientation gives a traditional, vintage-correct look, making it a top choice for upgrading classic instruments, while delivering the series' highest standard 21:1 gear ratio for unusually fine, accurate tuning. Precision-fitted gears sit in a die-cast, permanently sealed and lubricated housing for years of smooth performance.
This set is configured 3Lx3R with L5 "butter bean" buttons. It's finished in X-Gold, part of Gotoh's premium X-Finish line: Lubri-Plate applied as the external plating for a water-repellent, ultra-slick surface that resists the sweat, oil, dust, and oxidation that corrode conventional plating—protecting the moving parts and improving durability. The finish's color may shift subtly with use, but performance is unaffected.
