Description
The Gotoh SXB510V is the wide-spacing version of Gotoh's open-gear (open-back) guitar machine head from the high-performance SX510 series, made in Japan. It's engineered to overcome the classic open-gear shortcomings: because the bushing is separate from the body, posts can be hard to align, so Gotoh adds a centering guide at the base for a flush, accurate fit and pairs it with Rock-Solid string posts that resist post rocking—giving this open-back design a precision and durability closer to sealed-gear tuners.
This set is configured 3Lx3R with 06M butter-bean buttons in gold (GG), a 15:1 gear ratio, and press-in bushings on the wider 25.1–25.4mm (1") mounting-hole spacing (Kluson-style). Note: for the narrower 23.8mm (15/16", Grover-vintage) spacing, use the standard SXB510-06M version—confirm your headstock spacing before ordering.
