OPTIMA 2028.EL 24K Gold Electric Guitar Strings, Extra Light 9-42. OPTIMA GOLD STRINGS: plated with real 24 karat gold, which makes them resistant to tarnish and corrosion. The maker states they last up to three times longer than ordinary strings and are suitable for players with a nickel allergy. Brilliant tone, the 'Sound of Gold'. Plain strings (E, B, G) are high-grade nickel-plated steel wire coated with real gold; wound strings (D, A, E) have a tin-plated hexagonal steel core wrapped with gold-plated wire.
