The Rotosound MAS11 is the signature set of Michael Amott (Arch Enemy, Carcass), made to his own specification. It is a hybrid gauge, nickel-plated steel set designed for drop C tuning.
The 11-59 (0.28-1.50mm / .011"-.059") spread keeps the top strings light enough for wide vibrato and melodic lead work, while the heavier .059 bottom string suits the lower drop C tuning.
