Description
The Snark SN-6X is the ukulele-optimized version of Snark's world-famous clip-on chromatic tuner, purpose-built with a frequency response tailored specifically to the ukulele's tuning range. Where the general-purpose Snark models are designed to handle everything from bass to violin, the SN-6X is calibrated to lock quickly and precisely onto the pitches of soprano, concert, tenor, and baritone ukuleles — meaning faster response and higher accuracy on the instrument it was built for. An upgraded processing chip inside delivers noticeably faster tracking than the earlier SN-6 model it replaces.
The full-color high-definition display rotates a full 360°, letting the tuner clip to the front or back of any ukulele headstock and read cleanly for right- or left-handed players. A stay-put grippy clip keeps it firmly locked in place, and the high-sensitivity vibration sensor pulls a clean reading straight off the instrument even in noisy rooms. Beyond basic chromatic tuning, the SN-6X packs in pitch calibration from 415 to 466 Hz, transpose and flat-tuning functions for alternate references, and a tap-tempo metronome — a surprisingly feature-packed little tuner at an accessible price. Battery is included in the box.
Note: Snark advises against clipping the tuner directly to instruments with delicate finishes (nitrocellulose lacquer, polyurethane, French polish, or oil finishes) — clip to a strap button or music stand instead if in doubt.
