Description
The Thomastik-Infeld AC112 is a Vienna-made, medium-light acoustic set with a distinctive hybrid build. Plain E and B are brass-plated steel, the G is polished bronze flatwound, and the D, A, and low E are polished bronze roundwound. The flatwound G smooths the transition from treble to bass, while silk inlays on the wound strings deliver precise overtone balance. A highly flexible steel core keeps the feel supple under the fingers.
Tension is low and evenly balanced across the set, extending the playing life of vintage or lightly braced acoustics where heavier gauges can stress the top.
