Description
The Gotoh GE101Z is a zinc die-cast stop-bar tailpiece, made in Japan, for Tune-O-Matic-equipped guitars. Its heavier zinc construction—the counterpart to the lightweight aluminum GE101A—delivers a fuller, more focused tone with strong sustain, the familiar modern stop-bar sound most players expect from a Les Paul-style instrument.
It fits standard 82mm stud spacing with 51.5mm string spacing. The included M8x1.25 metric height-adjustable posts and bushings make it a direct drop-in for import guitars like Epiphone, LTD, and Schecter; on USA/Gibson models, fit the tailpiece body onto your existing imperial posts. Finished in black with complete mounting hardware included. Pairs with the Gotoh GE103B-T Tune-O-Matic bridge for a complete stop-tail setup; for a lighter aluminum tailpiece with a woodier, airier tone, see the GE101A.
