Product Overview
The Graph Tech TUSQ 4187 is a 3/16" thick blank slab to make a nut, a small saddle or other custom parts.
TUSQ is Graph Tech's man-made ivory. Bone and ivory have hard and soft spots in the grain that hamper the even transfer of vibration to the guitar; TUSQ is consistent from piece to piece, so the right frequencies pass more efficiently from the string to the body. Graph Tech made TUSQ for high-end acoustic guitars and says it gives up to 200 percent more harmonic content and richness than bone.
A slab is a rectangular piece of material, offered in several thicknesses, for shaping your own nut, saddle or other part from scratch.
