The Graph Tech TUSQ 9650 is a compensated saddle for acoustic guitars with an under-saddle pickup; Graph Tech's patented Microbalance design lets you fine-tune the output of each string.
TUSQ is Graph Tech's man-made ivory. Bone and ivory have hard and soft spots in the grain that hamper the even transfer of vibration to the guitar; TUSQ is consistent from piece to piece, so the right frequencies pass more efficiently from the string to the body. Graph Tech made TUSQ for high-end acoustic guitars and says it gives up to 200 percent more harmonic content and richness than bone.
Choosing the right saddle: match it by length, then thickness, then height. Longer, thicker or taller than your old saddle is fine, as Graph Tech saddles are meant to be sanded for the final fit.
