A matched Graph Tech TUSQ nut and saddle for Martin-style acoustic guitars: the PQ-M600-00 slotted 1-11/16" nut with angled bottom and the PQ-9110-C0 fully compensated saddle.
TUSQ is Graph Tech's man-made ivory. Bone and ivory have hard and soft spots in the grain that hamper the even transfer of vibration to the guitar; TUSQ is consistent from piece to piece, so the right frequencies pass more efficiently from the string to the body. Graph Tech made TUSQ for high-end acoustic guitars and says it gives up to 200 percent more harmonic content and richness than bone.
