Description
The Gotoh SP is a set of three standard-tension tremolo springs, made in Japan, for guitars with a Strat-style or Floyd Rose-style floating bridge. A tremolo stays in tune only as well as its springs let it—weak or worn springs cause the bridge to drift and the guitar to fall out of tune after you use the bar. These quality standard-tension springs restore consistent pull and a clean return to pitch, for smooth vibrato and dependable tuning stability.
Unlike the higher-tension Gotoh PSP power springs, the SP set is regular tension—the right choice for a normal trem feel or a straight replacement of stock springs. Supplied as a drop-in set of 3; most tremolos use three to five springs, so you can adjust the count to dial in your preferred feel and float. Note: springs are a wear item and lose tension over time—replace periodically, and adjust the spring claw to rebalance the bridge after fitting.
