Description:
The Gruv Gear FretWedge is a specialized dampening accessory that targets the often-overlooked string length behind the nut. By sitting snugly under the strings, it eliminates sympathetic vibrations and unwanted ringing noise that can muddy your tone, particularly during high-gain performance or recording sessions. This two-pack ensures you have a spare or can outfit multiple instruments with consistent noise control.
For players seeking maximum control over unwanted resonance, the FretWedge works as a perfect complement to the world-famous FretWraps. While FretWraps handle the playing side of the neck for techniques like two-handed tapping, the FretWedge remains fixed behind the nut to ensure the headstock stays muted at all times. The Small size is specifically designed for standard 6-string guitars and 4-string basses with a width of 41.5mm (1.63in).
