Description
The Snark ST-2 HPT brings High Precision Tuner accuracy to Snark's all-instrument platform, updating the popular ST-2 with the new HPT software's ultra-tight "in tune window" and a patented anechoic sound shield on the back of the tuner that blocks ambient noise from behind the vibration sensor. Together these upgrades deliver a new standard of accuracy — faster and more precise tuning in any environment.
The defining feature of the ST-2 HPT is the switchable sensing mode: use Vibration mode for regular clip-on tuning of guitar, bass, ukulele, and other stringed instruments, or switch to Mic mode and clip the tuner to your music stand to tune horns, woodwinds, violin, and other acoustic instruments by sound alone. Adjustable pitch calibration accommodates concert-standard and alternate tuning references, and the super-bright display keeps the meter legible in bright sunlight and on dark stages. Fully rechargeable via the included USB cable and adapter — no more batteries to buy or swap — with a prominent on-screen battery gauge for planning charging around gigs and sessions.
Note: Snark advises against clipping the tuner directly to instruments with delicate finishes (nitrocellulose lacquer, polyurethane, French polish, or oil finishes) — clip to a strap button or music stand instead if in doubt.
